Champ brings deep experience in developing impactful partnerships to the team. She will work with the commercial team servicing brands and agencies and in the Originals division.
"Ashley flips the traditional approach between brands and talent. She pays attention to directors and producers who are making something different, and she develops a vision of how to make a rewarding partnership work between talent and brand," said Rob Meyers, partner at Versus. "She has a unique sense of what's next, knows talent when she sees it, and makes things happen."
Prior to joining the Versus team, Champ was the head of growth and creator partnerships at Blacktag. Now a partner and strategic advisor for the group she has helped develop over the last four years, she established a partnership with Versus to curate the SLATE roster of talent, a program designed to provide commercial opportunities for up-and-coming creators.
Utilising her multi-hyphenate creative abilities, Champ has also contributed to projects as a creator herself, notably serving as the executive creative director and producer for Clinique’s "Queen Me" campaign, which redefined industry standards of beauty. Her collaborations with brands like Sprite and Fenty Puma further showcase her talent in guiding brands to stay authentically connected to their target communities, through the intersection of content, technology, and culture.
With special expertise in championing athletes and their creative voices, Champ recently executive produced and creative directed an event for SLAM / LeagueFits, highlighting NBA athletes' contributions to fashion and culture during New York Fashion Week. She engages talent across all entertainment categories, both in front of and behind the camera, with a passion for connecting people to intentional projects. By redefining traditional methods, she fosters authentic relationships and innovative projects, giving brands what they didn't know they needed or even knew was possible.
