Versus was challenged to find a way to both emphasize the availability and accessibility of MSG programming while also stoking fan’s passions for their favorite teams. Additionally, the team needed to conceive of a modular approach that could be versioned out not only to spotlight the seven teams (Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Sabres, Red Bulls, and Liberty) that play on MSG, but to capture the essence of each sport they played (men’s and women’s basketball, hockey, and soccer).
To do this, the team concepted a playful, light-hearted approach that leaned into the use of colorful illustrations to tap into every fan’s sense of hometown pride.
